Specialist / Lead Specialist in Installation and Technical Support of POS Terminals

Job Description & Requirements

Your responsibilities will include: • Installation, configuration, loading, and updating of POS terminal equipment; • Establishing and testing the connection with the host (processing system) for POS terminals; • Timely investigation of technical inquiries from customers and resolution of malfunctions on-site or remotely; • Detection and elimination of communication problems (GPRS, Ethernet, Wi-Fi) that arise in POS terminals; • Accounting, inventory, registration, and management of POS terminals in relevant systems (TMS or internal platforms); • Ensuring the integration of POS terminals with cash registers and other integration solutions; • Testing and monitoring the flow of operations (authorization, clearing, settlement) for card payments; • Participation in the verification, certification, and acceptance processes of new terminals in pilot tests; • Participation in the adjustment of terminal parameters; • Technical examination, replacement of faulty equipment, and coordination with vendors; • Preparation of regular technical reports and documentation related to the work done. The suitable candidate for us: • Higher education (in IT, computer engineering, or related fields); • Basic knowledge of POS terminals, payment systems, and acquiring processes; • Skills in networking knowledge (TCP/IP, APN, VPN, basics of router/switch); • Experience in working with Linux/Android based POS devices is an advantage; • Understanding of processing systems and card payment standards (EMV, Contactless, NFC); • Ability to work with technical documentation and perform log analysis; • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); • Fluent in Azerbaijani and Russian, technical level in English is desirable; • Ability for analytical thinking, problem-solving, and making operational decisions; • Ability to work in a team and customer-oriented approach; • Readiness for fieldwork (including business trips and site visits); • A person who is willing to quickly adapt to new technologies and self-improvement.
