Job Responsibilities Data Architecture and Design: Development and maintenance of enterprise-level data architecture (conceptual, logical, and physical data models). Establishing the architecture for Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, real-time streams, and operational databases. Defining architectural approaches for data integration with internal systems, third-party providers, and external partners. Ensuring that the architecture supports analytical (BI, ML, AI) and operational use cases. Data Management and Standards: Defining and implementing standards for data architecture, naming conventions, and modeling principles. Ensuring data quality, consistency, lineage, and metadata management in collaboration with the Data Governance team. Ensuring compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., data retention periods, access rights). Technology and Platform Leadership: Evaluating and recommending data platforms and technologies (cloud, on-prem, hybrid). Making architecture decisions for ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, APIs, and real-time processing. Optimizing solutions in terms of performance, scalability, reliability, and cost. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Transforming business requirements into technical data architecture solutions. Building and optimizing data flows in collaboration with Data Engineers. Ensuring access to quality and structured data for Data Scientists and Analysts. Acting as a key decision-maker in architecture for data-related projects. Documentation and Roadmap: Preparing and updating architecture diagrams, data models, and technical documentation. Formulating a data architecture roadmap aligned with business strategy. Identifying architectural risks, gaps, and opportunities for development. Education and Qualifications: Higher education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field. Certifications: Relevant certifications (TOGAF, Cloud Architecture, Data Management). Knowledge and Skills: Required Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of work experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or a similar field. Strong knowledge of data modeling (relational, dimensional, NoSQL). Practical experience with Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and integration solutions. Knowledge of Data Governance, metadata, and data quality principles. Ability to work with SQL and large-scale data. Knowledge of Big Data and streaming technologies (Spark, Kafka, Airflow, DBt). Desired Qualifications: Experience in insurance, finance, or other regulated fields. Work experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or hybrid architectures. Experience supporting ML and AI-based analytical solutions. Language Skills: Proficiency in Azerbaijani, English, and Russian languages.
