Senior IT Business Analyst

Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document critical and high-priority business requirements in line with business strategies. Analyze large datasets and apply modeling and forecasting techniques to support strategic business decisions, identify areas for improvement, and propose effective solutions. Conduct process optimization aligned with business and IT strategies, creating visualized process flows using BPMN or UML models. Participate in preparing test scenarios with QA, executing and validating tests to ensure solutions meet business requirements. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of documentation in accordance with CoE requirements. Propose new approaches and automation opportunities to optimize business processes, and drive improvement initiatives with CoE and innovation teams. Knowledge and Skills: Requirements gathering, traceability, change management, and documentation (BRD, FRD, NFRD, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria). Process modeling using BPMN and UML notations (Camunda, BPMN io, Bizagi, etc.). In-depth knowledge of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, Kanban methodologies, and project management principles. Preparation of SQL queries for analytical analysis and reporting. Experience with REST/SOAP API interfaces, RabbitMQ, and Kafka messaging systems. Understanding the impact of analysis quality on testing, documentation, and CI/CD processes. Awareness of AI technologies' impact on SDLC and business metrics. Proficient use of Jira and Confluence tools. Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Ability to apply "5 Whys" and other root cause analysis (RCA) methods. Strategic decision-making considering long-term business goals and architectural integrity. Collaboration in preparing test scenarios and validating functionality across teams. Effective communication and conflict resolution between technical and business teams. Mentoring junior analysts and promoting CoE standards. Language skills: Azerbaijani, English, Russian. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in IT business analysis or a related area.
